Pencil Portraits
My most popular product for commission is pencil portraits. I specialise in animal portraits, but as you'll see from my Gallery I've recently branched out into human portraits. For a guide to pricing, do not hesitate to contact me at info@lm-art.co.uk and I can send you an order form. Most of my portraits are A4 or A5 size, but I am very flexible and if you have a specific size or composition in mind, email me and I can then discuss your commission with you, and give a quote on the price and deposit required.*
I work from your own photos, so before you get in touch please have a think about which photograph(s) you would like the portrait to be based on. Photographs need to be sharp and high resolution (showing lots of detail), reasonably sized and - most importantly - ones you like! I work very closely to my source photographs, so if you don't like the photograph or it shows a peculiar angle or part of the person or animal is obscured, that will come across to an extent in the drawing. You have been warned! If you're unsure about whether or not your photographs are suitable to draw from, feel free to send them to me at info@lm-art.co.uk and I'll take a look. Any printed photos you send me with your order form will be returned to you with the finished picture.
Book Illustrations
I have illustrated several published books to date, specialising in black and white chapter illustrations, and colour front cover designs. I can also produce detailed & accurate scientific illustrations, as you will see from my Gallery. If you have a book commission in mind, don't hesitate to email me to discuss your project.
*Deposits are required on all my pencil art commissions - it is a goodwill gesture and a happy medium between my customers paying up-front for a piece of art they have yet to see or approve, and my drawing a time-consuming piece of art only to have a customer refuse to pay.
