Over the past few years, I've moved into illustrating books.  It all started when my Mum decided to publish her children's book (below) and asked me to illustrate it.  The publisher, Diadem Books, liked my work and I've currently illustrated 8 published books with them, with more on the way!  I specialise in black and white within-text illustrations, though I have also created several front cover designs for universally satisfied authors.

An adventure for children of all ages, Eric and Thickpea tells the story of Eric, a boy on the streets of London, his pet rat Thickpea, and his eccentric band of friends.  When one of their number is kidnapped, Eric and his friends are thrown into danger and intrigue as he finds himself hunted by the police, and discovers whom he can trust.  The hard way. 

It's also written by my mum, front cover and chapter illustrations by yours truly.

Poems to Love by Josephine Whewell-Juden

A collection of well-loved poems, individually illustrated in black and white.

I have lately developed a great fondness for pointillism and scientifically accurate inkwork illustrations.  Unfortunately, I have yet to illustrate any published scientific books, but I hope to do so in the future, as I believe my attention to detail and accuracy will work well in such a context.
